Education should be the easiest part about building a relationship for an academic librarian. We are, after all, educators. However, we are also overly enthusiastic about our services - so a simple idea can evolve into a cumbersome task. Some may to refer to this step as an "elevator pitch" - which is also a phenomenal way of conceptualizing this step because it's a reminder to be brief, leave an impact, and to be ready on short notice.
